"...my number one pick for any web based project."

help, tips, advice, and techniques for merging web, mobile and other digital media with traditional marketing.
We recently launched the newly redesigned and redeveloped website for Virginia's Motorsports Alley, a regional Tourism and Economic Development initiative; the new site can be viewed at motorsportsalley.com.
The old site was developed several years ago by another company, focusing mainly on Economic Development, and we were contracted to develop an additional Tourism section. The project scope grew when it was determined that the site's content management system needed to be upgraded to a new version, requiring a new layout to be designed for the new cms version, so the project ended up being a complete site redesign and redevelopment.
The new Tourism section includes a business directory of regional businesses, broken down by the localities participating in the initiative, along with photo galleries of each locality (at this time we're still waiting for gallery photos for two localities); it also includes information about each locality and each track in the region, plus contact information for each locality's Tourism Director.
The fact that I'm on the Board of Directors for the Industrial Development Authority of Halifax County gives me unique insight into developing Economic Development websites, especially for rural areas (side note - we're currently developing a new site for Brunswick County's Industrial Development Authority). We developed new expanded content for the Economic Development section of the site, focusing on regional assets and strategic location in relation to the motorsports industry.
